So, for the last 3 months or so, I've been looking for an apartment, and today, a day before my birthday (I turn 22 tomorrow), I finally got the call. For the first time, I'll be moving out on my own, I can't wait for the extra responsibility and finally start building a life for myself. I'm just very excited about it right now, and I had to tell someone besides my family! After 3 hard months, I was just about to give up the search...but I finally got one! Wooooo!!!

I live in North Jersey, a 10-minute walk, and I have a unobstructed view of the NYC skyline and hudson river. I saw the Queen Mary 2 sail away while it was docked in the harbor, was pretty cool. The one good thing about living in a smelly part of NJ, the broadband. My ISP right now is giving me 9.5mbps down/1mbps up for $44.95 a month. I'll be getting that same service where I'm movin too!
I just finalized everything today, signed the lease and paid the security and stuff. I'll be getting the keys tomorrow, and after that...time to move in. I have the rest of the month to move, so I can start decorating before I actually move the furniture, though I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with the place. Kind of ironic considering how much time I spend around the graphic arts...

When my son (your age) moved out, he had to go from a high speed connection back to a dial-up. That was one of the things he hated the most.
