Good things come to those who wait!

Monday, May 3, 2004 by Hus | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

So, for the last 3 months or so, I've been looking for an apartment, and today, a day before my birthday (I turn 22 tomorrow), I finally got the call. For the first time, I'll be moving out on my own, I can't wait for the extra responsibility and finally start building a life for myself. I'm just very excited about it right now, and I had to tell someone besides my family! After 3 hard months, I was just about to give up the search...but I finally got one! Wooooo!!!

Thanks, I've been looking foward to this for a while now, one thing I know I'm gonna hate though, 4 flights of stairs...no elevator...lots of heavy things....

look on the bright side Hus, it'll be that difficult to remove anything from the apartment too....definitely a thief deterrent.

Hopefully you don't have much in the way of furniture to lug up those 4 flights!
Otherwise you're going to owe your friends big-time!

make sure there's beer and pizza waiting at the top of the steps,in the farthest room of the apartment

The fridge is gonna be the worst...the apartment doesn't come with one, but we have a full sized one at work thats free for the taking, my friends are gonna really hate me for that one. I'll just bribe em with the pizza and beer!

Hus....the 'best' moving is done with fish and chips.....sitting on the floor, gazing at the recently-lugged boxes....

Woohoo. Whatever. Hus good luck. Now make it stick. Times will be hard. Times will be tough. Life is not fair. Often times you will ask... why me......? And LIFE will answer why not you!?! We all have times of down and out, up and above. Take care young one. Be resposible even if it doesn''t seem to matter a hoot. Just take care. >

Congrats, Hus! Are ya living close to your family & friends?

Don't forgot to pay the landlord/lady.

Imagine...No one to tell you to clean up after yourself, such as don't leave dirty dishes lying in the sink, or, clean up your room and after yourself. All the things you hated when you lived under your parents roof. Now, its your chance to find out why all those things were important.
(Hint: No Cockroaches) And gf's can stay over now!! You stud.

Good Advice Chas!

Ratio of cockroaches and ants vs. girlfriends....both will not exist in the same household

Hehe...you guys are too much!

Thanks for the votes of confidence...

I live in NJ, the rest of my family and friends will be in Long Island, where I grew up. I could move back to LI if I wanted, but it's a 2-hour commute there, and another 2 hours back. So I rather move close to work. The apartment looked clean, but you can't say until you move in...and if I do find a roach...the landlord is gonna find them in an envelope in his mailbox.
