DesktopX weather objects

Wednesday, March 10, 2004 by Skryme | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Hi everybody!
Does somebody know,is it possible to do that kind of weather object which is using metarcodes?
I mean like EGLL=London-Heathrow,EBBR=Brussel and so on,sysmetrix uses these codes.
Because here are many fine objects,I would like to use that but I cannot, objects use other system.
That system doesn`t know my place,it doesn`t accept place. Now I have to use sysmetrix instead of desktopx weather objects, not good!

The weather objects I've tried have all worked just fine. Currently I'm using the killer object. The trick of course is gettin the right code as you are looking for. Mine is CAXX005. There's a message around here somewhere about finding your international code. www.weather.com or some such

Just go to www.weather.com find the city or place you're looking for and you'll see the code in the resulting URL.

Some of the newer weather objects will allow you to enter your city name and country instead of the code.

Weather.com doesn`t know my place which is Rovaniemi in Finland!
So,is it possible to do or change some objects to use instead of weather.com http://weather.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/mgetmetar. where object get weather information? Then I can use metarcode, because Rovaniemi Airport(EFRO)is very of my house!Maybe somebody can know is it possible?
