Ratings are a JOKE!

This rating system is so corrupt. I submitted an Icon(Adobe CS) 1/21/04 an recieved the infamous "6" then sign in today and notice that it's been downgraded to a "4", 5 days later. PLEASE!! What a joke. The system is pathetic here and everyone knows it. Get rid of the "Ratings" and let the members decide on their own whether they like it or not. Until I see a change, I refuse to submit any of my hard work and time to this caos.

PoulanZ.....I checked your works....and the one in question has only two ratings as yet, so the median can see fluctuation.
There is no indication of vindictiveness with people's ratings of your works....for example one person who rated one of yours a '2' [obviously was unimpressed with that one] also rated two others of yours an '8' which is particularly above average.
All that being said, the Rating system is going to change, and will likely be more immune to large fluctuations such as you experienced.
Currently the members DO decide on their own whether they like it or not. The only time that won't happen is when it is moderated through the submission process due to policy violation or similar....

| serously I think if you can't handle getting bad ratings you need to grow up. I agree that 4 is a little low for that icon, but personally I wouldn't give it much higher. |
I have a Icon that has a 8.
