Curious....I missed the points you made that validated the Mac's superiority in graphics. I understand that a lot of the best graphic artists prefer, use or agree that Mac's are more capable machines in this area, but I would suspect that those folks have experience producing graphical content on both Mac's and PC's. Meaning I would be more apt to listen to the points an auto mechanic or someone in motorsports makes about a certain brand of car than I would the points made by a 16-year old with his first driver's license.
How well do Macs handle backwards compatibility with older software written for previous versions of their OS?
How reliable is Mac hardware in comparison to a PC built with brand name parts, not one of those generic under $500 machines?

JUst to add to my previous post, unless you're doing professional high resolution graphics (where a 1 Gig image isn't a rare thing), you won't need a Mac. A lot of Mac artists I know actually have a PC at home.

i just dont understand the superiority complex .. its like a old fart buyin a expensive car just to show others how cool he is ...like in the fast and the furious . a guy acts smug abt having a ferarri. like hes better than anyone else,it was funny to watch the street racer shred his car like nothing ......

in real life iv seen cars that stomp on ferarri's like nothing .. just cause its big$ dont mean its the fastest ...and many of those "crappy cars " have the$ where it counts, under the hood , not in the hey look im rich stiker price

my old 67 vw bug. had a 2770cc with dual idf carbs, ported and polished,wild rv cam,(Built)3 speed centrifugal auto stick tranny,thrush exhaus. it smoked many high$ cars off the line. gimme a 1/4 mile il show ya what a lil crap car can do..

. Everywhere people have "Discussions" about this and they can be doing that forever. Why don’t you just use what you have and if you want to have a different interface just use ObjectDesktop in the case of the PC.
Also: I was reading at aqua-soft.org and when AndreasV released Avedesk, someone at that forum just posted that if he hasn’t seen Jaguar because the labels are not the same. Or in another forum, someone was complaining because mobydock didn’t come with the MacOSX icons and the same background. In these cases: If you want your PC to really look like a Mac, that’s impossible, they’re different OS’s
Instead, go and get a Mac. If you get a Mac, good for you but don’t argue with people about which one is better, each one has pro’s and con’s. If it fits your needs, good for you again. That’s it.
This is just my opinion.
