I don't even see the bars for the other catagories.
How much would you be willing to pay for 200 premium themes/skins/icon packages/etc. per year?
Apparently 200 premium skins from the best artists doesn't mean anything.
Anyway, I'm off to lurk the message board again.

Currently, the subscription is 20$, and you get TWO premium suites
speaking of that where do I go to get those or is the link in the email I got from Stardock?
MIT Review ran an write up on Micro Payment sales on the net and how it will be a driving force in the next generation of INTERNET sales because people are more likely to pay a small fee for a single item on a continuous basis than see any benefit in paying a larger fee for a wide range of items.
I think Frogboy said it wouldn't work because the Credit Card companys charge to much for small transactions or something like that.
BTW I voted for the 19.95 option.

I don't think it's in the email, but you should go here. https://www.wincustomize.com/resources.asp?cmd=4
It's also in the menus on the left, under the category "Resources".
It's right under where you went to download the WC browser.
(Unless there's a link to that in the Email, I don't remember....)

I answered $19.95 which is still peanuts, but... I already spend $50/yr on my OD subscription, $10/yr on my WC subscription, and buy some of the current premium packs. There's just only so much I'm going to be able to spend here, deserved or not.
Heck $19.95 is cheap cheap cheap. I just spent $5 on a GORGEOUS essorant pack, and that was only 3 skins and walls.
Do I think the skinners deserve to make money? Of course. For example I have tons of Jairos work on my machine and it's a joke that I have unlimited access to this caliber of work for free (well, free after my OD/subscription costs but still).
ah, well...

#25 by The Skins Factory - 1/8/2004 12:53:46 AM well let me rephrase that... I don't think people realize how long "good" skins take to make.
Yes very true, sometimes im so sick of it people spend more time rushing and uploading just so they can try and be famous
I would rather have one bodacious skin that make's you go ohhhhh than have 6 crummy one's.
I reckon that's seriously wrong with too many people these day's no pride "We want it FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE everything should be FREE!!!!!!!!!!!1"
Can't remember where i seen this...
Skin because you love it. Skin because it's fun. Skin because it's creative. Skin for yourself first, and others second.
Pay quite a large sum for someone's time and effort.

The price of a skin for a commercial application, a WEB site or on demand, it is from $500 to $5.000. Seeing here all this conversation about 10-20 sents for a skin, well the authors I guess are not happy about it.
So, better free with pride than 10 offensive sents!
That's my 2 sents

Outstanding Premium suites have been offered for some time already, and although the sales offered a nice bonus revenue to the site, it's not nearly enough to sustain this site. The idea is to come up with a solution that will help finance the site and offer revenue for the most outstanding skinners. We'd like eventually to see this site become more and more independant and less an all-out Stardock site.
