yzDock is no longer being developed, while Object Dock is (at least, I hope so) .

mmm, only ran YzDock for a short time, but I liked it. ODock is evolving and a solid app which I also find I like...

They're both free. Try them both, decide for yourself.

The fact that Y'z dock is not going to be updated makes me go for Objectdock. Also for the taskbar option and because the firts thing you see when you open Y'z dock is nothing(No default theme )

Try them both and make you choice.

All 3 are really neat but really buggy, IMO. I have bounced back to each to try to find a stable option but no going yet.

AquaDock is handsdown better than this application. Object dock is jumpy and grainy when changing magnifications. I hate Object dock...it is just another program produced by an already established company that thinks they can get away with crappy programming like this...why do you think they made it freeware? they know it is too crappy to sell alone

have u ever used Aqua Dock? it is 100% smooth and better quality, doesnt used GDI, uses DirectX, so much smoother and sharp. I have 23 icons on my Aqua Dock bar and I can go from one end to the other fast without any glitches or hangs. I do the same amount of icons with Object Dock and it glitches 2 times...I have a 256mb video card, and and Athlon 64-fx processor...it isnt my computer, it is the crappy program

you can download (freeware) Aqua Dock and check out screenshots too here...

much easier to use also with icon and import settings

Aqua Dock lets you add yz docklets too if you want, so you can use Yz docklets from your old program if you choose to use Aqua Dock. This by the way was the very first docking program ever made, and the best one made. Trust me, if you try it out and it isnt better than Object Dock or YZ Docklet, then I'll shut up, but I know I', right since I am a programmer and modder myself

funny how theres always a debate over which of 2 progs is better ...il say this .. to each his own... each person will have his likes and dislikes .. its a matter of preferance....the only way you will ever know what program is best for YOU is to try the ones sugested and form your own opinions ....id never buy a car, with out test driving them and seeing for my self .......

From memory, ObjectDock was the first, but was not released...due to concerns relating to Apple copyright/s...and that, to is the argument for having the product freeware, not its alleged 'issues'.

Perhaps we just defer to the real coder/s who created these proggies and not rely on half-baked conjecture and mis-information...

No, don't confuse yourself.

You did exactly what you set out to do from the start.

But, you missed your mark because people frankly don't give two shakes what you hate or love when you turn it into nothing more than a personal attack against those we considerworth our trust and friendship. You don't like the application fine, say so, you turn it into some kind of biased attack against Stardock on this messageboard and you can expect to get exactly what you get.

so don't play the weenie and you won't be thought the weenie...

what I would like to know, is do you make use of toilet paper with your opinions with where you pull them from.?

BTW I just tried Aqua Dock. I think IMHO it sucks compared to OD. OD is more skinable and easier to use. (for me)
