What kind of cars do you like? (That includes trucks too if you want)
My personal dream cars are:
Chrysler 300M (or the Concorde)
I might actually get that ^^^ one in a few years.
Other dream cars include:
Volvo XC90
Nissan Z
Cadilac Escalade (SUT pick-up)
Infinity FX45
Aston Martin DB8 (or the Vanquish)
I am also thinking about getting some toy cars. One of them is this one:

But those aren't really general production cars, and as such, are in a different class. I'd also place the Callaway Corvette in that class, as well.

If you want to 'go' in a straight line...take a train....follow the rails.
I outran a DB6 Aston Martin in my old Spitty simply because it was more nimble and actually made it round corners while the Aston was fretting spokes from its wheels...300 horses versus 80.....horses for courses...

After the 427 Cobra [for simple, sexy convertible good-looks] would be the Good old Aston Martin DBS V8......still looks the part, thirty years later....big, impressive, and goes like the 'proverbial'...

I'm South African, so American cars are foreign to me, and yes Kona, you're so right.
I only ever had two American cars, a Ford XR3i and a Pontiac GrandAM. Both were mistakes that I will never repeat again!
Right now I drive a Hyundai Elantra. Great little car. Takes a lot of abuse. I'm thinking about trading it for a BMW though.... Preferably a 333i if I can find one.

I would have to agree. I see alot of 50, 60, and 70's american xars on the road because they are so cheap to fix and because they are reliable.
I don't see many forign old cars on the raod. hmmmm....

BTW if I remember there is a dodge viper that packs 700 horsepower and out does the Calloway corvette.

| A Lamborghini Diablo is a $250,000 car that must be imported and has to be taken to a shop with a special mechanic. Such shops are rare. Meanwhile a Dodge Viper costs a much lower $80,000. It is slightly faster than the Diablo when both cars are stock. For the price difference, a Viper can be modified to do anything better than the Lambo. A Lambo has few modifications left to be done though. The factory pushes this car to its limits from the factory, which makes it unreliable on top of all else. Once again the American car wins as a performance car over the import. |

But keep in mind everything I have said in this thread was my opinion but if you choose to pick on me for it...
I care not.
I drive a American car and I love it! I will never buy forign. I would rather PUSH my ford up a hill 20 miles then even drive a forign car.

Kona...I'm not picking on you, but the next time you're under the hood of your 'Ford' look around at the parts and see who and where they were made....it just might surprise you.

Opinions are like butts. some people have big ones, others small. Some are formed rather nicely while other's are old and wrinkly.
Yours however stinks. You know I don't pick on you, but this sort of attitude towards foriegn companies is quite crazy (and I know what that means). But I don't want to get in to that now.

The Saleen LM is pretty good and the Mosler certainly has the complete package including straight line 'handling'.
