What kind of cars do you like? (That includes trucks too if you want)
My personal dream cars are:
Chrysler 300M (or the Concorde)
I might actually get that ^^^ one in a few years.
Other dream cars include:
Volvo XC90
Nissan Z
Cadilac Escalade (SUT pick-up)
Infinity FX45
Aston Martin DB8 (or the Vanquish)
I am also thinking about getting some toy cars. One of them is this one:

Thanks. I will have to remember my car is a beater. More like a POS. thank God it still runs.
Funny thing is today I went car shopping. Tried a 99 tarus and a izuzu i-mark. although the tarus has lots of get up and go, the little izuzu had more get up and go then my escort, but not more than my fairmount.
Maybe I need to look into buying a honda or some other inport. Better gas milage i guess.

Thing is, for quite a few 'import' autos, the same is true. A lot of them are actually built here in the U.S. (not to mention that a good portion of some 'American' cars are built in Canada and overseas).
A solid dividing line might have been true 20-30 years ago, but now the automotive industry is truly global. There's really no need to choose a car for any reason other than that it's what you like, or can afford, etc.

Currently driving... 89 Nissan Skyline 6cyl, full import. Came with all the extra's.
....But it now has a serious case of cancer.

Actually John down the street has a beater ( 1970 Dodge Dart, 509 CID 6 pack, 727 slap stick, Dana Posi read ) it is a punched, shaved, plumbed, balanced and blue printed 440 which is street able and runs faster than most in a street 1/4 but out right blows the doors off almost everything put against it on the Highway with the 3:23 rear gear. It also has the T/A (TransAM)suspension package snatched from under a AAR Cuda under it.
Everything on it is American made and it was built in his garage over a couple of years as a weekender project. He now has 426 Max Wedge (not HEMI) which he is going to get really wild with and stuff into 1934 Dodge Coupe.
He belongs to the same Mopar Club that I was thinking of joining some years back when I still owned my last SuperBEE 383/6 pack Borg Warner ST-10 4 Speed Dana Posi.
I've owned a number of of Mopars, a few Chevy's and some Fords, but will always hold Mopar above the others personally.
The thing is, those cars are not worth a damn when a over powered go cart is the right thing to be driving. As Jafo pointed out earlier in a post, HP does not always equate to crossing the finish line first.
Jag for instance had a real problem first with over steer and then with under steer trying to hit the fine line of high speed, high power turning for a time. Datsun Z cars did the same thing for a time (Personally I feel the 240, 260 and 280 were re-vamped smaller versions with some engineering changes while keeping the best of Jag in place).
My 280ZX Turbo 5 speed is extremely fast, holds to 160 - 165 mph without over working itself and has plenty of jump even at that speed when pushed. It handles sweet but still corners sloppy on tight turns and you have to drive the car at speed when turning otherwise you are going to find out how well it will do off road or in a roll...
My dream cars beyond a HEMI Dart GT, the Vector and the Pantera both make use of Italian and British worked engines respectively, another would be the GT40 with a high riser 427 hemi (yes Mopar, GM and Ford all had Hem's, Mopar just holds the rights to the name).
The new street cars of today are rather amazing really when you consider they take an Engine which is sized by CC instead of CID and what was otherwise thought of a Lawn Mower engine with a header 20 years ago and can turn out 500 Horse Power with it today. The thing is, you are still looking at a number of engineering problems when it comes to steering, body twist, tracking, braking, traction and crash safty...

I still do!
My 260Z from way back when behaved badly at speed, as did most SWB cars with IRS .... it squatted and weaved more than a tad!
Cured it by fitting a set of Koni adjustables all round, a BRE air dam and the widest Globe alloys with Bridgestone RD120s that I could squeeze under the wheel arches!
Wouldn't mind owning that car today ....

Grrr...my Corolla's left rear window decided to part company from its 'holder' and scratched all the window tinting.....and it was the good stuff, too....but not anymore.....

^^^ best car I've ever owned! Sadly I only had it for a couple of year. Had to trash it due to heavy currosion
But if I ever find one again, I'm buying it without hesitation!
