You are right about the high-quality sounds, couldn't find some good ones myself, but hey, what about MP3 support?
Useless things are most of the time the coolest

.How do I set it to load at boot?.Andreas I have a new idea for you, dont know if its possible,...I would like to make the dock transparent until activated(see thru),possibly be able to set transparency level and duration of fade in and out. This is probably something for Stardock to add but wouldnt that be cool.
.Your too cool(and fast)

Also, aren't there some proggies that make sounds for you?
I was personally looking at some DJ stuff to make some party mix tapes for myself and to do some sond production on the side. If I get it I would be more than happy to make some sounds to put into some of the skins here!
But that's a long way off; maybe citezen DJ has some stuff we can use.

version 1.3:
-> Added MP3 support (it supports virtually any type of audio/video file, even AVI's
)-> Made it a bit faster by changing the mousehook.dll structure.
Enjoy.

Tell me something more (what's activated for example?). I think it would be possible, my only concern is the GDI+ drawing thingies (the Dock is not a regular window).

BTW, I was thinking of making an app like this to add sounds to every window / control. For example, when hoovering over a button, a sound could be played. Before starting to code it, I would really like some comments / suggestions on it
