What is your maximum resolution?

Friday, November 21, 2003 by Aqua. | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

A followup on papidon's resolution thread. What is the maximum resolution you can set your computer to?

To start off, Aqua. can go to 2048x1536

Though, I only go this high for photoshopping at home. Believe me, everything is tiny, but I sure have lots of desktop space to work with.

I can go as high as you like....

It's yet another story for my monitor, however...as I'd rather it didn't sit there quietly smoking and crackling....

Yup, 1280x1024 seems just right for regular use. Anything lower, and everything just looks huge.
kthxbye

My Toshiba will go up to (and operate just fine at,) 2048x1536

Of course, that's with hardware scrolling and only seeing 1024x768 at a time...

1024x768. Laptop's montior is great, but as usual for laptops, res is limited.

1280x1024 (15 vis)

I'm getting a Radeon 9600 Pro soon with a nice 19inch CRT monitor though. I would go higher than 1024x768 but the low Hz rate hurts my eyes.

China i have tried higher res on other computers. Gets to hard to read things. And all my games play best at 800 x 600. So I do know so there

Screen (17") maxes out at 1600x1200, which just happens to be the resolution I use. Graphics card maximum is 2048x1536, but you'd need an awfully big screeen to use that.

Well, the Sony site says my monitor will go up to 2304 x 1440 but I've never tried it, I find 1920X1200 or 1920X1440 to be the best resolution for me..

I hit max at 1280x1024, but I keep it at 1024/768. its the most comfortable for these tired eyes.

my screen is only 15 inches, so 1024 x 768 would be max

Just recently bought a new 19" monitor that suppuots 1600x1200, which is what I'm running at. 1280x1024's texts are a bit too bit (for me), 1600 is just right. More spaces as well. I don't need squint my eyes or lunge forward to read something. A fair 2 to 3 feet away.
