How many people actually use the Boot screens?

Tuesday, November 18, 2003 by Weaksid | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

This was bothering me. Since we have the boot screens now and it seems like more and more boots are showing up. How many people are actually using them? And how many really need them. What I mean by that, how many actually reboot their computer? I tend to leave mine on for days sometimes weeks. It depends on my usage and how it seems to be acting or if I update certain things that require a reboot. It's a simple question that was on my mind. And seeing if it was worth while to even complete the boot screen I started if that many people don't even use them.

I'd imagine that a vga driver could be kicked into action to handle the extra colours if that's the case...[that 16 is a limit].....then you'd get to 256 at least...

Doesn't boot up use the same amount of colors as Safe mode? I'm just curious.

I dont use them, they pass by too fast. I usually go do something while my computer is loading up anyway. so there is really no purpose to change them for me. I much rather have seen a rainlendar section here
