How many people actually use the Boot screens?

This was bothering me. Since we have the boot screens now and it seems like more and more boots are showing up. How many people are actually using them? And how many really need them. What I mean by that, how many actually reboot their computer? 
I tend to leave mine on for days sometimes weeks. It depends on my usage and how it seems to be acting or if I update certain things that require a reboot. It's a simple question that was on my mind. 
And seeing if it was worth while to even complete the boot screen I started if that many people don't even use them.

I use them. I have a laptop and i turn off my laptop before i put it in my bag to carry somewhere else to use (aw the beauty of a laptop).

I dont...I dont really see any point...On my machine, (Only 2.2ghz celeron) it only shows for about 1& 1/2 seconds anyway. And I kinda like the default image.

I use the old ntskernals, .Bootskins arent good enough quality images yet, they are fun to make, but I wouldnt bother booting my system with it. I use the same Alienware boot that is posted in the section in the max colors for Windows boot. Comes out much better...

I actually did a matrix boot and edited the kernal. My computer didn't like it when I started to update a couple things. I had to deleted the edit in the start-up file and it wouldn't run with it activated. I just wanted to share that about ther kernal thing

Weaksid, I'm with you. I boot maybe once a week or less.
On the other hand, I do use the Bootskins. I just don't see them often.

I agree: waste of spce, bandwidth, time, and money.
Rainy would have been a better section, with alot less problems.

I class them with logons.I NEVER see my logon screen,I forgot they had one.Still...I like the IDEA of being able to change anything in the OS gui.(thats what skinning is all about)I just dont always see the point.All customizations have some worth,some just have more than others.

I have rebooted twice since the alpha/beta whatever it was first came out. I can't really remember what the image was...

The board is completely messed up today.
Anyhow, I switch my machine off when I don't use it. There is no point in leaving it on all the time.
And yes, I use them boot screens. No, I don't see them often, but it's the thought that counts.

I turn off my computer every night before I go to bed and boot every morning, sometimes I like to watch what happens, and have made a couple of my own.
I see nothing wrong with Bootskins, and are easy for beginners to create and get on the skinning ladder, that also goes for Logon screens
