Do we have any clarity over the contradicting comments about WB being in the Oven, and we will hear something soon, to "It Is Not Imminent". Updates about WB11 are good, but not when they contradict each other.
The phrase "are we there yet?" coming from the back seat of a car doesn't get anyone there quicker....
Jafo...precisely.
As I (and so many others) have said when the question was "When will it (put in whatever, from dinner to software) be ready?"
"It'll be ready when it's ready."
No amount of "But when?!", and this one said A but that one said B will change that one iota. OK?

How about this.
Say I am a waiter at a restaurant and you are a paying customer. Your food is taking a while to be done, sure there are reasons for this.
You the paying customer asks "When will my food be done"
I reply, "You are acting like someone in the backseat of the car asking asking, are we there yet.. It will be done when it is done"
Does that sound like acceptable service in this setting?
It is what it is, Naroon said his piece and now we should just move on and get back on topic.

Your example isn't at all relevant. Ordering a meal is in no way equivalent to writing software.
You've asked the question how many times at this point? Has it helped?
Asking n times won't get the software written faster. Why on earth do you think it will?

Me personally? I don't think I ever have, I am usually trying my best to answer other peoples concerns the best I can which includes speculation or hurdles regarding Windowblinds 11. If you look through my comment history you will see I am offering a lot of help to others.

Granted. I didn't say you did. You posed me a question and I answered it.
Tell me has any of it advanced anything in the slightest?
It'll get done when it gets done. It's in SD's interest to finish it as soon as it can. Why the endless grinding of it into dust.

I understand that, and I even agree with the overall point you are trying to convey, I just didn't like the delivery is all. But, that is only my opinion, we can agree to disagree with it and move on. I do think we need to get back on topic some.

it won't matter all that much until there's a final RTM of 11.
In all fairness the news about Windowblinds 11 being in the oven is recent. I was pretty excited about the news when it broke and wanted to ask questions myself. I think we are all hoping for more buzz on the situation.

As MS's OSs advanced, fewer elements became skinnable. I suppose that's why I look for less buzz and more meat, so to speak.
For me, it's the bottom line...what will the program do, and will that be enough to obscure MS's dreadful UI design.

I actually just got done giving Windows 11 22H2 a good review. I am happy with what they did do but I am equally pleased with what they didn't do. Thank goodness they threw out the taskbar changes!
In part I still depend on start 11 to complete the UI, the start menu and never combined buttons are must haves for me. But, things like the command bar and snap layout are changes for the better from Microsoft.
What parts of Windows 11's UI in particular bother you?

The centrring of the start menu, turning it into a huge slab. The center location isn't helpful for me...like the vast majority of Windows users, I hardly use it at all.
As you can tell, I work with docks and subdocks for ease and speed.

Well, don't take it personally. Just a difference in me having seen all this many times before...and that it won't matter all that much until there's a final RTM of 11.
I do not like the delivery one bit either Doc, Maybe Moderators should set examples to us mere members, and deliver things in a respectful way, Moderators should know better. I am Huge on Respect coming from a Military Background, Respect costs nothing neither do Basic manners.
As for Phoenix's Example, the same or very similar example was used by staff in an earlier topic, they too were using it to explain why WB11 was not ready yet, oh it was Jafo. When Phoenix used it you say "isn't at all relevant".
We have to right to ask, about things we are told could be coming soon. Absolute Double Standards Dr. Respect is a two way street, being Moderators, does not mean you are exempt from giving respect, it is given to Moderators by Default, it should be returned, what gives Mods the right to talk down to members who ask questions, even if they have been asked before.

You've been asking. And asking. No one talked down to you, either.
Fact is, it'll be here when it gets here. Jafo's "When will we get there?" Was 100% spot on. I said it as well. How many times will you ask? Won't make it arrive any sooner.
And I said that the example he used wasn't relevant. Ordering a meal from a menu has zero in common with a computer program.
Sorry you didn't like what I wrote, or how I put it. But right now my newly operated on back hurts like hell. Sorry I didn't show my usual patience, but just now there's no AC in this room and it's 33C. The nurses are being run ragged. Be patient with me. I appreciate it.

Members will ask again as new info comes to light, we had some new info , so members will re ask. Shame you did not address the Respect Issue Dr. Some attitudes here Stink and that is unfortunately not just members.
Jafo speaking Down to me like i am a little child is WRONG in any forum on any planet, you agreeing with his comments makes you NO better. Give Respect and it will Come Back to you. Do you think being A Moderator affords you the right to speak down to peeps, NO it does not.
No i do not think asking about something will bring it any quicker, But when you have some new info, which we did a little while ago, we ask about that update, A Very Normal Thing To Do, but from you and Jafo, your policy seems to be Insult People You Do Not Know, Talk Down To Them, and that is ok because you are Moderators, WRONG Dr. , and i have every right to be spoken too in a Civil Manner without Patronizing comments from either of you.
Please treat me and others with Respect.
EDIT I see you have edited your comments and added
"Sorry you didn't like what I wrote, or how I put it. But right now my newly operated on back hurts like hell. Sorry I didn't show my usual patience, but just now there's no AC in this room and it's 33C. The nurses are being run ragged. Be patient with me. I appreciate it."
I really feel for you Dr, i have lived with Chronic Pain since Fighting In Africa, it takes a lot to live and do the normal things, so much more than those who live pain free, so you have my sympathy, honestly given. If i could come and fix that AC i would as i have strong empathic inclinations to any person in need and in Pain.
I will be patience with you Dr.

While it is indeed more work im still confident SD can do it. I only hope they don't decide to give up on it anytime soon.
I have no doubt that Neil's team can make Windowblinds 11 very good, I do believe there are people here that share your concerns. I think that is why people are still wanting updates on it.
