What is the animation docklet for?

All you can do is change the image, you can't use it as a shortcut or nuthin'.

It's just an example of what can be done. I don't think it serves any purpose other than that.

digital_trucker, that can be done, but would it be of any *real* use?

Sure it would! Wouldn't it be slick to have animated icons for regular OD objects? A spinning globe for your web browser, a spraying paint can for your painting software, and so on. There are all kinds of fun possibilities that would open up.

Thats very cool! and it works Some editable parameters would be cool too.Speed, only on mouseover, animate once ,etc..

How does it know how many images are in the animation?

Speed can be done, Animate once can be done, On Mouseover can not be done, because there is no mouseover support in the object dock (yet).

Number of images in the animation: Magic

animate once on mouseover I mean.
If I want to make an animation, does it matter then how many images are in the .png?

this could be interesting

animate once on mouseover can't be done now, because there is no support for mouseover in object dock yet

Icq only right now.My email is in my profile.
Shame about the mouseover prob, that would be important if more people make some animated OD icons. You might not want them all running at once.

You havnt released this as a docklet yet have you?

the speed its set at now is probably fine for most animations.Probably nothing you can do about it pausing when you move the mouse, may even be neccessary for the dock to expand an icon.

I did, but it didn't show up yet. I am trying to implement the mouseover myself now.
