Take it back and get a machine with a AMD processor instead.

I have a Dell Latitute and I hate Intel...oh well!

May not be the drivers. Have you tried Windows update? There's an update for some game video issues which can stop a game responding.

Memory and overheating are my first suspects.

What does that have to do with the topic of this thread, namely helping Vimal troubleshoot his problem?

thanks...i am trying that now...

Memory and overheating are my first suspects

over heating? and memory leaks? well, my processor doesnt get too hot!

and maybe i should try installing direct x 9...it might help. but i am on a 56K! , so, downloading might give me a nightmare!

anyway thanks for all ur suggestions

Howdy! If You have an ATI video card (8500, 9000, 9500 and -9700, 9800- less), throw it out. It's just like AIDS for the video card. It WILL ALWAYS BE SO!!!
