I prefer quality wp over smaller file size. On my work puter, I have a nice collection of walls to cycle through...either from WC or my own photos. At home, I have used the same wall for years...just a simple tiled bmp that makes my desktop look like a tapestry.

As far as connections...at home it's 512 DSL...at work it's T1, which incidentally is slower than most dial-ups (for web browsing), mainly due to the fact that most of the bandwidth is dedicated to data transfer ....so, for once I can say my home connection is faster than my T1 line at work!

QUALITY!!! I run at 1280x1024 and I like to use nice wallpapers, usually bitmaps. I have a real hard time finding quality ones for this size.

WOM I'm getting 52.0Kbps on a dialup you better check that out 28.0 seems really low.

Cable in my neck of the woods is $42 and it's going up about $2. I can afford it but I don't download anything over 8megs anyways so it dosen't matter to me. I'm not in any hurry

I am on Dial-up too, and downloading is anywhere between 2 - 3.5 Kbps
No money for Broadband:(

Although I like those high quality wallpapers it just takes ages to download them.
