My computer chair is a modified seat from the back of my van(complete with seatbelts for those intense skinning sessions)and I still get numb butt.Walking the dog is good, butt clinches help, but what's best?

In my case I designed and built a home office suite of furniture that allows me to work at one of my computers while standing and the other while sitting. So, when the I start getting 'comfortably numb' I stand up and walk over to the other computer and work there for a while. When my legs start to get tired then it's back to the chair.

Oh, and I also go for walks and take the dog outside for her much beloved game of fetch. These regular activities help to reduce the signs of lividity in the old posterior.

I never get a numb butt but I tend to curl my feet around the bottom of the chair so I sometimes get a numb toe? hehe
you just need to have a couple of kids that keep you jumping in and out of the chair every few mins that keeps the circulation moving...

motion, umm, you really didn't have to set anything up. If you're sitting in your chair, and you get that numb feeling, satnd up and move the chair back 2 feet. Wala! a new configuration. And it works just as well too.

Hmm, what do I do? I don't normally get a numb butt while sitting in my nice comfy chair. But I also don't get a numb butt because I walk 3 paces to my fridge behind me when I need a refill

My floor is carpet, if it wasn't then I would. I love my bedroom. It has everything that a person needs, other then a bathroom. But that's minor.

Solution. Take one 9 volt battery and timer, hook to chair, and if you don't get up and move around you find a nasty tingling sensation that will gently prod you into movement, thereby increasing circulation to your nether region. >

The cure for numb butt is to get off your butt and join the Marines.
