Joey. It may be getting that way. I make WindowBlinds and have made many. I passed this by as I don't make "Icons" and didn't have any answer for you with your question.  Seems there have only been a couple people who have uploaded in the last few months. Also only one this year. People have given up for many reasons. One is disappointment in general. 

Example: The last set uploaded this year has 3300+ downloads. However only 7 people took the time to recognized the work and effort it took to make them. Most people that take all the required time to make certain things have just given up. Sure there are other reason like people got tired of making things, etc.

Thanks for responding, 'DaveBax', and even the one from "this year", I believe, was only updated in January from a November or close release date.

I have heard this from other people. Actually from people that no longer skin for the reason their things aren't shown in cases for no longer then minutes or an hour. With things that can take several hours to make they should be visible on the main page for at least 24 to 48 hours. Can take many hours to make a good set of Icons. A WindowBlind can take up to 80 hours or even more with lots of detail. Now if a Master WB is uploaded it can be seen on the main pager for a week or even more as they have their own column. 

A regular WB can gone in minutes if uploaded at the wrong time. Many people don't go to the menu and search explore. They see what they see from the front page. Just look at the front page day after day and see what is always showing.

What is needed is another column for the few other things made that require many hours to make so they show for awhile. Right now that seems to be limited to free WindowBlinds.

I agree with you Dave, WC needs a complete rework.

In general it would seem like interest in customizing the Windows UI via Stardock products is on the wane. Dreams seem to be the most popular thing anymore. That's fine. Personally it's the Window Blinds I love the most followed by the widgets and docks. To me that changes the whole experience. I usually just have custom icons for my docks. I change so often that changing the icons with Icon Packager is a hassle usually. Not all icons change and sometimes it just gets weird. I continue to change my desktop around daily and sometimes more than once in a day if a new WB comes out I like. I buy master skins sometimes but I can't justify buying every one that comes out even if the WB is awesome.

Redesign of the site would be nice and might even help but I think the glory days of OS Customization are past.

Yup, I just uploaded a sysmetrix skin and it was gone from the front page in about a half hour, that is fine because its only a clock and not many people use sysmetrix now but it does go to show how long some new uploads are being seen.
Personally I get tired of seeing new submissions that mostly consist of Dreams and I find myself visiting the site a lot less, again no big deal for most people because I am not popular here however there may be some members that are popular who are hanging on by the skin or their teeth, now that is a real shame.

There is a "More" link that will expand the list of "New", "Popular" & "Updated". Also a "More" link for "Windowblinds", "ObjectDock", "IconPackager", "Wallpapers" & "Deskscapes".

Sorry Hank no correct statement. click on More and all you get is many, many pages of uploaded stuff. You make it sound like clicking on More gives you Categories of all the things listed above. It does no such thing. Just takes you to another page with uploaded stuff. Note that except for the latest WB upload a few days ago the next 32 uploads are one Category. That is what it comes down to. 

Anytime someone says something that someone else doesn't like there is always an answer that has nothing to do with what was said. This started with no icon packages anymore. Like it or not what I said was fact not BS. I have helped more people on here make WindowBlinds than anyone would ever know. I won't but could give names right now of people that aren't here anymore because they made something that took hours only to have to find out it wasn't visible anymore only after a very short time. I'm aware SD isn't going to make changes at this point and I'm not telling them to. Giving a fact to not only but another reason some don't upload anymore here.

So I'm done with this. Anyone can twist my words anyway they want.

Nobody said anything about not liking your comment or that it was BS. What I posted was a means to see what uploads that have moved off the Home Page.

By no means did I ever mean you said anything about BS. You are a good person and I wouldn't do that.

Saying that. All I was saying if there was a 3rd column for WB uploads only you would see them for a week or more. If you have Windowblinds highlighted on the main page you see WB's. If you click more you see WindowBlinds, yes. However here is what is missing as clicking more only helps somewhat. 

Say I upload a WB today. It gets moved and not seen because 5 Dreams just got uploaded. Now click on more and you may have to click on a lot more pages to see it again. At a point people stop clicking. Why is that? Because click More the page starts with the highest downloaded stuff. So the skin that was just uploaded and not seen anymore as it has been moved off may take many, many page clicks to be seen again as it hasn't even had enough downloads yet to be moved up on the list. 

Maybe if clicking more it showed the upload date order instead of download count it would be seen without a lot of clicking

I know the feeling even though I've been a member since 2005. You have to have a certain something which I feel I don't have. I'm pretty much a loner any way so I don't mind. Always been treated well here I must say, I'm just not part of the In Crowd. Like any group online or in the physical world Wincustomize has a In Crowd.

Not saying your idea is not valid. What I'm suggesting is a means to get to what you want is the following.

If you select the Windowblinds tab on the Home page and then select "More" you will get this page which will only list Windowblinds. https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/windowblinds

From that page you can select from the dropdown arrow - Last Updated, Most Popular & Recently Featured.

Not a problem, nice to see everyone airing out.

Just a thought, for Wincustomize; Maybe it's time to offer some sort of incentive? 

I've spoken to several people that used to come here. Each has said they stopped, saying it became redundant. 
they said, the themes seem to only change in color, not concept.
