Maybe the most outstanding Desktop I have seen for a while.

Ya'll are too cruel. There is another version where Teddy matched the blue color of the taskbar.Technically this qualifies as a mod and the author was proud enough to let everyone see.The icon placement was quite innovative i thought.

I thought this was a community that only practices constructive criticism. It doesn't seem to be constructive to go on flaming some guy that either is not skilled or does not make art that meets your tastes.

Tech Cat & I.R. Brainiac : This guy has a long history in doing such and even more weird stuff. It is not clear yet if this is intended or not. You need to know the whole (long) story before judging about us.

What is the point in going on and on about something in the past? Making threads like these might scare newbies into not submitting in fear of becoming the subject of ridicule.

Tech Cat...Do a search on the message board for "aafuss"
If you read all his posts, it will give you a fresh perspective on this.

Sorry, I just had to quote this after reading some pages :

'#96 by JourneyMan Fuzzy Logic - 6/21/2002 3:17:24 AM
..A famous sketch...

User: Babya doesn't work.
Aafus: Yes it does.
User: It doesn't, its dead.
Aafus: No its not, its minimised.
User: I want a refund.
Aafus: Its working fine - its just resting...
User: No its not, its dead. This is a dead Babya.
Aafus: See, an icon moved then.
User: No it didn't.
Aafus: Yes it did.
User: This Babya does not work. It has ceased to be. It is an ex Babya.
Aafus: Its got Apple permission.
User: No it hasn't.
Aafus: Yes it has, you can see the icon there..
User: Still doesn't work. It hasn't moved once.
Aafus: That's the built in anti-crash program working.
User: It still doesn't work. I want a refund.
Aafus: How about an upgrade to version 10.01?

...the sketch fades into a naked man playing a piano...'

Aafus history should be taught at all skinning sites.

I retract my "cruel" comments. From now on only warm and fuzzy thoughts will come out of my keyboard. Kitten and ducklings and such. I've seen the light repented and changed my ways

Forgot about that...

Aafus is a legend in his own (very short) lifetime. Fortunately the admins put him out of our misery.

Think you have a slight posting problem there...

You are right Fuzzy Logic about the posting problem, every time I hit the submit button, I received a screen saying in effect, connection was broken.

Stop talking about bunnies, ducklings and kittens - you're making me hungry

I have the same problem - must be T-Man messing. When you submit and get to a blank page, hit the back button then refresh, your post will be there.

Sorry ,wasnt trying to be judgemental to anyone(Teddy or the good folks here)It was meant to be a lite hearted dig at the whole situation.(forgot my emoticon)You are correct in thati have no idea if this person is serious or not.My own first submission got a 6 rating and one person actually said it was ugly.I laughed and took a look at my stuff from a fresh perspective.I had to agree, some elements were kinda ugly.A major overhaul is ready for upload partly because of that one persons criticism. My point is if you turn something over to the public for their approval be ready for the worst.A little gentle sarcasm aint so bad.

If this person is pulling the skinning communities collective leg ,it's nothing short of a masterpiece.

Teddy couldn't even spell "sarcasm" let alone understand what mean't!!
A few kind-hearted (or mis-directed!) Dockers attempted to give him some guidance but it was a lost cause!
I can't recall exactly what Babya was supposed to do but it either did nothing at all or did it's "thing" badly.
Teddy did a good imitation of a rabid Ferret on heat .....

wombat - you may have given him a new advertising slogan: - "the OS that does nothing badly" hehe.

Note to newbies: this person is not an unfortunate beginner who is being picked on, but rather was an incredibly persistent my-god-how-would-i-even-begin-to-describe-it who tortured the good people of this site beyond all existing records of human endurance for many months.

Thank you's the advice Fuzzy Logic (for the posting advice) and to Karma Girl (for cleaning up the multiple posts). To say that my face is red is an understatement!
