Yes they are releasing a version of Final Fantasy for gamecube BUT NOT FINAL FANTASY 11!
Final Fantasy 11 will be played mostly online. Since Gamecube Does not support online play, PS2 will be used. Check it out:

Look Nintendo makes high quality hardware. Anyone that has owned Nintendo hardware can testify to the durability and workmanship of their products. When I bought my Gamecube, the store person offered me a extended warrenty which I turned down. He told me that when it comes to XBOX and PS2 he really pushes the extended warrenty because those systems tend to breakdown more.

PS2 never had online gaming built in until recently. The PS2 I have was reduced to the $179.99 price tag while the new PS2 that includes the modem now holds the $199.99. It's the same PS2 except the modem is inluded in the box so it's not really built in.

For XBOX, online gaming does not work unless you own a XBOX Live kit with a subscription to XBOX Live. Online gaming costs extra for XBOX.

BTW I am not going to argue about Final Fantasy because that is one game I don't care about. It makes no difference to me what system any game I don't care about is on. Argue that one with Alexandrie.

Yes XBOX has a built in ethernet card but it does NOTHING without the XBOX Live kit and the subscription to XBOX Live.

The whole point is I do not have to pay for a extra piece of harware.

And if I had a Xbox, my MSN account would work on it with my MSN DSL account...

And I have to wonder... do the words Intel 733, Nvidia, Ethernet, and DVD make your little gamecube shake? It better!

...but you still need to buy something extra to get online to work. The XBOX Live kit. Read the XBOX owner's manual. It says you have to buy that kit if you want to connect to XBOX Live.

Intel and Nvidia sucks.

XBOX does not play DVDs unless you buy their $30 DVD remote. I still would rather use a real DVD player. When it comes to PS2 DVD playback, even an APEX brand DVD player is better.

BTW Gamecube runs on the same kind of processor that Macs use you little Mac lover.

I think it is plug and play if you already have a MSN account. That is why my MSN people said I could use the xbox and offered me a 50 dollar discount on a Xbox....
