Brad Wardell photorealism on Playstation 5 - PCGAMES

Well, I'm not a console guy, but I know what hardware is installed in the current generation, I guess if we talk about stills, as you supposedly said, then this can be quite possible, but a real-time render in This quality? Well not really.
We have decent engines like U4, which with 4K textures is able to bridge some aspects of the uncanny valley, but I just can not see games in photorealism happening any time soon.
Just one model would have to have multiple subdivison levels for the render distance, for example if you are in VR and just walk up to a model and get super close to the face you would need to render pores different shadows, garments, environment that is close and so on and so forth yet alone for this little radius there would be an enormous demand for hardware and i simply can not see that happening for the next gen, if lucky ps7-8.
Even though Sony is kicking the market with steelboots atm in different areas .
I sort of feel that the PS is the "cashcow" used for other projects, it only has to be a tad better than whatever MS drops onto the market and bam people will buy it.
Otherwise there would be better hardware in that little box.(my personal opinion). Back to topic.
Games would need to make use of mocap for the animations a good "still" and animated example as Brad mentioned is the face of hellblade and also the movements of the main character- they also used mocap http://www.hellblade.com/
