You will find that either your position is flawed or your position has been strengthened because you know how to answer the critics of your position.
I was not for this war and thought there were many ways to avoid it. Nevertheless, I found that most if not all options still was leading to the same conclusion especailly if Saddam had no intention of working with any UN resolutions. I have asked many here questions that I wanted answers to because I did not know them myself. If we set a deadline and he breaks it do we give him another one? How long does the inspection regime last? If this is about contaitment, and the inspectors don't find anything, what then? Do they leave?
There are many moore questions then that I have posed that I am sure many of my friends at school have not asked even though they are against the war.
Funn, though, I am still not in favor of the war, but I do not see any alternitives. So all I can ask for is a quick end to the conflict and the hope that we all win after the losses of war with peace.

As for the 'kick-arse' posts .... take your medication and stop eating junk food! >
If you've never been 1) 'Under Fire' or 2) taken some metal on board your person then you have no idea of how unpleasant the whole business of warfare really is.
And actually 'killing' another person is not an experience easily forgotten.

This is not a video game, it's a thoroughly nasty business and every person bleeds the same colour!!!

The infamous 'In Service Black Humour' is always a relief valve, but 'civilians' would never be amused.
As in Vietnam period ...Q. "How can you shoot women and children???"
A. "Depends on the range and the crosswind. Sometimes you need to wind off a couple of clicks ....!"
But the 'kiddies' who have never been there and done that need a good reality check. >

And you left out that she was being slapped when he saw her, as the article states
but you show Paxx, that is hard to keep a good objective on this. The facts get mixed in with so much, then you have everyone in the world wanting to play the victim, including Iraq, and the wonderfull US of A. The Media adds to things, and forgets to mention things. New rumors are floating around that the weapons found were from the countries that are against the war, such France, and Syria... kind of odd I think. It makes sense that would be why these countries wouldn't want the war, selling weapons to Iraq and such, but also this is the propaganda the US Media could come up with to rally support. So, until I see proof of this from someone in the UN i'm not taking anyone's side on where the weapons came from. As for the war, I hope it ends soon, and I hope the world can find peace in our lifetime Paxx, im sure we can agree on that one.

What say we limit it to one, and use the energies saved to indulge in actually skinning something...

America decided to show its true colours in this particular instance, defying the will of the United Nations knowing full well that no one will stand up to them. Why because you've got all the guns... and that's just the way you like it. If any of the other nations on this planet suggested that America should be stripped of its weapons of mass destruction I seriously doubt that America would be quick to cooperate. While on the subject of weapons of mass destruction... America has taken great pains to paint Saddam Husein as a monster because of his use of chemical wepaons, tell me, what is the difference between a weapon that kills lots of people slowly and one that kills lots of people quickly? Nothing, they both kill lots of people and that is all that is relevant. America should be stripped of ITS weapons of mass destruction. I dont care what anyone says there is no comparison between what Saddam has done and what America has done in the past. Do you forget that you dropped two nuclear weapons of mass destruction onto two CIVILIAN targets?? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black...sheesh! What happened to America as a result of that? Nothing! I see that even to this day they are still calling up Germans on war crime charges for things that happened in WWII and yet no American has ever been charged with a war crime related to that incident of infinite stupidity. What about the indescriminate carpet bombing of Cambodia? Nope not even a rap on the knucles for that one...but I digress...
The point of this post is not to attack the American people, I think nothing bad inparticualar about the average American Joe Blow, but rather it was an attempt to lift the scales of propaganda from the eyes of those who may happen to stumble across it. I will summerise with two quotes from the God that America is always asking to bless it: Matthew 7:5 "You hypocrite, remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother's eye." John 8:7 "Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone..."
Feel free to snicker and berate me for the use of scripture, I care not. God bless America? I think not...

what kind of...
Santos_X13 - There are many religions that treat women as second class. I think you know that. Just pick up a history book and you will see that easily.
paxx - I have to disagree with the treatment of POW's on the side of Iraqi's. I do not think they treat POW's very nicely and not within Geneva codes. The Red Cross still to my knowledge have not seen anyone yet. I will admit one thing though I will be keeping an open mind on how the Iraqi's treat POW's until all evidence is in. I would, though, much rather be a US POW then a Iraqi one and it is not because of their lack of hospital facilities or doctors
Yes, we all should be aware of militaty propaganda, stories that do not line up, mis-reads, and news organizations who are more one sided and show mostly one thing verses another. It takes critical thinking to get to the story. I keep mentioning critical thinking because I noticed that while there are changes in many stories or reports, you should be able to see a main theme or trepeated story. Epsecially if something is missing.
