In answer to the original question it really means that that particular person or 'journeyman' has undertaken
a long spiritual quest to prove that they are worthy of the title.
Only a few, lucky people pass this grueling, arduous task....
I hope that answers your question....

This is probably a dumb question but can you become a journeyman or any of those higher ups if you don't make any kind of skins or wallpapers?
I'm just curious if they started out as citizens and worked their way up by submitting works and then got elevated in status based on amount? quality? I read the about but it didn't explain it very well.
Thanks

I don't make a HUGE number of skins and only in a couple of areas.

Being a stunningly handsome, athletic god, who is an all round nice chap helps

apparently it is possible to get promoted without making any skins. if you arent an athletic god, try handing out chocolate, doughnuts and coffee to the admins!

Members have a chance to be elevated to Journeyman when they upload consistent high quality work over a period of time. I think that best describes it.
Most of the journeymen here were very active in the community in one form or another before WinCustomize existed, and they were "promoted" quite quickly on the strength of their previous efforts and could be trusted to upload good quality work.
