How do I take a screen shot of my desktop so others can see it?

Press the 'Print Scrn' button on your keyboard. Open up Paint, press 'edit', 'paste' and then save the image.

sweet

the water used to be pretty clear around here years back. Almost like that, reason they named Clearwater Florida, Clearwater, now they should re name it "Dark Green hope you don't step on a broken beer bottle, catfish, shark or stingray" Florida, but that woul dbe a pain to write out I guess

do like the wall for sure

Hey IPlural you saw my desktop? Actually no Stardock programs are being used. I am using StyleXP, ydock, and the wallpaper is from www.digitalblasphemy.com. I love that site.

And I could just turn on the skin that makes my desktop look like OS X but then you would call Apple so....

So why take your anger out on me? What makes you so much better than me? Because you use stardock? Please. I'm tryin' to learn skinning but since no one wants to show me how to skin then screw it. Thats why I went to StyleXP. I will be happy to use Stardock again if shown how step by step.

Sounds like you want to be spoon fed.

Nope. Just taught by a professional thats all. I don't have time to figure out every little button on DX and objectbar. I have a life outside the internet.

Kona...no-one has ever shown me step-by-step to do anything related to skinning or themeing.....all I did was RTFM and trial and error for years.
I'm no genius, and I'm sure you are not one, either, so it won't be beyond you to learn to do it all yourself.

If and when I have anger to 'take out'....you'll know soon enough.

All it was was a gentle 'push' to get you to expand your horizons beyond simplistic customizing that is no more adventurous than 'Dangerous Creatures' from MS Themes or similar...

OK fair enough I will learn for myself but let me ask you this. Why skin at all? Why can't we leave well enough alone?

Kona...if you have to ask that question then I wouldn't bother becoming, or trying to become a skinner.

I do it (and not very good) for the fun of it and to make my system look like I want it.
But there is some help to find at the internet by tuturials and stuff. And for specific questions this forum is also good.

I determine my individuality as this: My IP adress is different than yours. I could care less what my computer lokks like as long as it works. After all, all I use it for is watching a movie every now and then and web/email. my HD is probably about ready to crash. So as long as it starts, I don't care what it looks like. I lost touch with skinning after the Apple thing. Once all that was pulled from this site, I decided my PC will look like a PC and not a freaks nightmare.

kona....just try to remember that this site is for skinners and people who are into skinning and PC customising.
We really are not a great audience for those who hate/dislike the 'scene'.

Much the way I too may ride, design and build bicycles...but I don't annoy the crap out of people who aren't interested.....I'd go to some bike site for that.
Here....we 'skin'...we are 'pro'-skinning, obviously...

I know Jafo and I was and still am to a degree interested in skinning. Just don't put me down because I use StyleXP. Give me a chance alright?
