Wednesday, March 12, 2003 by joetheblow | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Someone tell me why million of government money is going into hydrogen-powered car when a diesel cars is very effiecent with fuel and pollution? I know hydrogen-powered car is better, but here and now couldn't we start to change over to diesel?

Angie...[I remembered]....'fahrts', not 'farts'.... Spell checker

I tend to have a pathological dislike for drags, as they were always thrust upon us at Adelaide [The GrandPrix] as demonstration events, and we HAD to hang around just incase one dropped a bundle or chucked a wobbly...till 7.30 at night...and we'd been working since 8 that morning...dealing with 'real' cars...

We just wanted to get out of there to the pub for tea, after 12 hours of 40 degree heat....last thing we needed was some funnycar going blap-blap, hey, ain't I noisy?.....not when there's beer to be drunk...

Jafo, I guess it's all what you are used to. Of course, I have never driven a track car (though my hubby has) so I can't compare. I also value my life, so drag racing is a better option (much less likely to crash). I like watching just about any racing, but I like to actually drag race.

The reason why they're looking into it is because there is NO bad thing about hydrogen power whatsoever, albeit it's high-flammability. And with the exaust being nothing but water, which would return to the atmosphere, you'd essentially be helping the enviroment BY driving the car there might even be a way to harness the water from the exaust, condense it, and run it over the engine itself to help cool it

Aston Martin... I can't believe I forgot about them.

What I don't understand is why people keep getting the labels of the cars mixed up for the Aston Martin.

The Aston Martin Vantage (DB7 is NOT the Aston Martin Vanquish (V12)

I want the Vaquish by the way, also.

Funny, I can't seem to find how it does city/highway??? I guess it doesn't matter? It matters to me! Make it run on hydrogen. Now that's a car.

Alfa Romareo (spelling) are nice, had an instrutoc who collects them, had a ride in one and it handled like a go cart and accelerated smoothly with little under or over steering on the curves.. Of course that might be because he knew his cars and how they handled...
