Is there a way to disable Start 10 so that it will not load?

In the Start10 directory, you can find Start10tweak.exe. There's options there to unload Start10.

Hmmm, for what it's worth, unloading Start10 seems to let the Start Button Mouseover state work. Thanks for the tip ID.

Why did you install it in the first place ?
Seriously...

If I unload Start10, I get the Windows10 start menu. Not acceptable.

Ya it was just an unexpected observation that I thought might be useful to somebody. WB with no Start10 - the WB Start Button Mouseover state works. WB with Start10 - the mouseover doesn't work. Personally makes me wonder if the mouseover problem is really WB, or perhaps Start10. Just threw it out there as a "fwiw".
Besides, there is possibly one other person around other than myself that actually likes to use the Win10 Start Menu occasionally or maybe not. I expect that there's no need to take a vote on it.

I do, occasionally. So I set Start10 to use the Windows10 start menu if I hit the windows key.

I do, occasionally.
Glad to hear it, I was feeling so "alone" Ya there's a couple of different ways to go about it. This was the first time I'd had WB running without Start10 running, and I went "Hey, the mouseover is working, isn't that special."

What is it that you are trying to do where you would need it disabled? The only way to disable it is to uninstall it as far as I know.
