And most of the time still faster than DSL.
Well, except with our upstream. With our cable we get shafted on that. Great downstream, but only a 128k upstream.

Weaksid, you might want to contact your ISP and or Phone Company and ask them how far you are from the CO..
1 distance from CO
2 have phone company test phone line for noise, if they ask tell them you hear static intermidantly, they may need to put a filter on it, also the age of your phone line could be a hinderance and might be able to get replaced
3 cordless phone on same line, remove and test speed, even if filters installed in jacks
4 run the DSL connection check/test on this site and it will tell you some tweaks that might help your connection
other than that, without being there can't think of anything else...
just some thoughts

And if you haven't power-cycled your DSL modem - sometimes that helps a bit too.

DSL, cable. It helps with both. Though... gah - those are even worse if you're on cable.

Blocky on channels over 100 when my furnace runs. At this time of year that is quite often in Wisconsin.

Nope, all 4 TVs work fine. And all 500 channels are nice I still think it's because they don't have all the new fiber down yet.

I tried this page a few months ago. Didn't do anything for me. I get an average of 200-300kb and max of 600 kb download(for about three seconds at 4:30 in the morning once a blue moon) and about 40kb upload on average with cable. It's still better than dialup though

It ranges from sucks to almost pretty good.....
and of course, I shouldn't complain since it is always better than dial-up
