And there is a modem out that makes multi connections to speed it up. They just allowed it not too long ago. I don't know where to find it. I just remember reading about it.

I wonder if 1.5mbp/s can be boosted any higher 
Maybe I'll try the tweeks and see. I wish my computer could handle the speed.. It tends to crash if I try too much.

Mine would be faster but they need to lay more Fiber Optic lines here in this city.. In State College, it's sweet since everything is fiber.

Maybe when you tested your speed at that time you weren't gettin a good connection? If not, more power to you.

It would probably depend on the size of the download for the test...
Too small a size and the faster it pumps it to you, hence the results...
example of running my connection at the different levels it will register at...

The joys of cable... we have a 3.5Mb connection, and my speeds on the testers always ranges anywhere from 0.6 to 2.9.
