Saturday, February 8, 2003 by Pooya1770 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Hey peeps .. Ive got a problem ... iam using a 56k modem and i previously uploaded a file name Forget It!!! in the Wallpapers , but some how it wasent added in the newest addition.. Then the second time i uploaded another wallpaper named Calling which seemed as if everything went fine until i got an email from BoXXi saying that they couldnt see the preview image . Read- "Sunday, February 02, 2003 - I hate to be Simon but..." in the news section of Wincustomize. It will explain it all to you.

PooPs....the preview showed up but it doesnot 'blow up'.
You must have upped a small image, not a full screen-sized jpg.
We need at least an 800x600 jpg.

[That's 'Calling'].

I assume the other wall was moderated.

Bear in mind, in accordance with new policy, if any wall is rejected the author of that wall will not be sent a notice of rejection. The wall will simply be deleted. If you haven't seen the wall go up in a maximum of 48 hours you can safely assume that it has been rejected. At that point, make a new creation and try again.

PooPs... Calling and ForgetIt, are both lacking a zoom image. You must upload an 800x600 or larger image for the preview.

ps... if you feel hindered by your 56k connection, come try my connection....... crummy phone lines here will go no faster than 28.8....

Yes, 28.8 is the best I can get. Any where from 19.2 to 28.8.

My parents couldn't get anything higher than 24k until I finally convinced them that the problem lay in their wiring and not the fact that they live out in the middle of nowhere.

Finally, my mother got fed up of the cable company's empty promises of cable-modem service, and did just that - had all of the phone wiring redone, inside and out - now she's cruising along happily at 50k. Not bad for somebody living in the middle of nowhere!

But me, I'll stick with the cable.

Wish that were the problem kthxbye........ I have new Cat5 wiring and jacks. (It's what I do for a living.)
Our problem is, SWB refuses to replace outdated cabling and pedestals. I've had 3 of their techs tell me they are constantly patching things out here.
kthxbye

Sounds a lot like Verizon too, Kosati. The parents had a problem with the junction on the pole causing a /lot/ of electrical noise on their lines - and Verizon never wante to do anything about it.

They didn't see any problem because my parents "still got a dial tone."

Oh so ... i should upload a 800^600 size preview ... and what about the zoom .. will that be done on its own ?

Yes.
All you need is a full size image to upload in jpg form...and the 'thing' to be downloaded in zip form.

Don't get much simpler than that...

PooPs...
You should have received an email...in particular, one work has the clear indication of a poorly covered signature which suggests the work 'may' not be your own...and verification was/is required.

The second was simply 'moderated', as it was not a great example of 3D Studio Max in action...
