Drive 1: Partition 1 - Win200 Pro
Partition 2 - Win98
Drive 2: Win XP Pro
XP is the main OS, 98 is for digital camera (with no XP driver), and 2000 is for backup (in case something goes wrong with XP).

Dual boot, Windows 98 and Windows 2000. 98 is just for Duke Nukem 3d (won't run on 2k) and for the occasions when Win2k won't boot. 2 weeks ago Win2k couldn't find the Software registry. It was corrupted, I guess. It took a week to get everything working again. Had to reinstall all progs, patches, etc.. 
But in the meantime I could access my e-mail, the internet, etc. on the Win98 partition.

WOM...the quaint trick with 3.11 is you run Calmira as the shell and you can get the 'function' and 'appearance' of ME without the crashing....

I am just a pc newbie, so I use windows 3.11 for workgroups with an injection direct to Windows XP Pro with SP1....
I have 16 mb ram , but with a turboslot with 784 mb on the side
60 mb harddrive , but i use also 2 bigger harddrives 40 & 120 Gb
512 Kb screencard + 128 mb Gforce4 nvidia.
P486 with 65mhz + 1.7 Ghz CPU AMD
I like XP alot!!

I am using XP Pro now and loving it. Prior to that I was running Windows 2000 Professional. I have also used Win 3.1, Win 95, Win 98, Win 98SE, and (I am almost ashamed to say this) Win ME. I ran Win ME for about a day and quickly uninstalled it. What a piece of crap that was (for me).

Well Jafo, I don't have 3.11 anymore, but so far this ME hasn't messed up since I've reinstalled it 6 weeks ago. Holding my breath.

I don't know why people slag ME so much. I used it for 18 months without a problem. I would advise turning off system restore though.
Spent the last two months on XP only. Before that I was dual boot XP / ME so I could play some older games.

System restore on ME certainly did slow some things down.

System Restore causes more problems than it solves. If you use restore some programs will stop working. In particular Norton Antivirus is totally shagged by it. It will also, rather stupidly, save viruses for you, which are then a pain to eliminate because of course you can't directly delete files from the restore folder as they are protected by Windows. If you use restore which has a quarantined virus in there it will quite cheerfully restore the virus to full working order. If you are not careful it will eat up the whole of your hard drive with its numerous restore points. And finally, it doesn't actually restore anything of use.
Use System Restore and you will most likely find yourself restoring from backup - so it's better to do that in the first place!
The only time I used System Restore was to correct a minor problem with a printer driver. The System Restore messed up so bad a clean install was the only cure. Never again! Since then I make sure I always have a full backup to use if required. a minimum of three - one on the drive, one on a second drive and one on CD. Peace at last...

I'm on a network providing support for VPN's and such so there are 98 - XP Pro installs, though I refused to keep Win2k SP3 installed because it is such a hoze bag. Personally I run XP Pro on this system and also Win2K on my Compaq laptop and XP Pro on my Dell laptop.
Though on this system, it seems that ObjectDesktop for the most part decides when it will or will not run. It has to be something with the odd ball configuration and all of the drives and such I am having to load up. Anyway, the long way around to the answer

I also did a system restore due to a glitch with a printer driver. Worked fine for just that!

Use XP Pro, was told it has better stability, and any extra security never hurts. Went from Win98se, and after a little adjustment, love it. The best thing is that I got to give a great farewell to the dreaded blue screen of death!
