Real Start Button Command

Thursday, December 12, 2002 by kevinb | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I'd like to create an object in DesktopX that opens windows real start menu. I believe my answer is somewhere in the registry. Just not sure where to look... Does anyone know the actual shortcut I would use?

I don't know if Desktop X lets objects run shortcut keys as their function, but if it does, setting it to use ctrl+escape might work.

Hope this helps

The plug-in is unreliable at best. here's what I have done is create a little vbs file that emulates CTRL-ESC. then make my DX start button point to that vbs file. This has worked pretty well for me.
