there is a program that adds cool effects to icons on a Mac when the they are dragged it is called gravite(http://www.wildbits.com/gravite/) stardock could try to do something like it, it is so cool

Or how aboyt a app that enablwes you to create 'pop up windows'-wdrag a window some near the edge of the scren-becomes a tab.
