Hardware Profiles

I know most of us are running 98, 2000 or xp, but I'm curious about the hardware profiles most are running...I know a lot of the art here probably takes a bit of horsepower to create, so I'm curious what everyone's hardware profile is.

Still got my Celeron 333 (or something around there), 384 Megs of RAM, 20 Gig hard drive, 3DFX Voodoo 3.
Wish I could buy a new computer, but it'll have to wait probably another year. And I want a laptop for my next puter, so that makes the wait even longer. :/

I gave most of my old computer equipment to a "friend" of mine who was down on his luck and I felt sorry for, and then he later came and broke into my house and ripped me off big time...

Listen to JM. Old Crab was a real smartass about his. Thought his computer was one config and upon reading his inv. discovered his config was entirly different. Boy what a marooon. Talk about a nerd and humiliation. Red-faced newbie. HE-HE.

Thank You, I know it's got Windows XP on it but that's all I know. I'm such a dummy when it comes to things like that. I think I have an invoice or some paperwork that came with it. I will find it and maybe one of you can be helpful and explain it to me

Go to start menu. Then accessories. Then System Tools. Find Si (system info). Click on the si icon and you'll probably get more info than you want.

... and to answer somebody’s previous question; yes I do sometimes do network rendering using Bryce 5; with 4 PC's: my PC, a XP2200, a 750Mhz AMD, and a AMD 1.4Ghz Thunderbird... and yes, it's nice to have all that raw power for just a single render - speeds it up very nicely

W2K and SuSE dualboot
should purr like a kitten when I get the full UT2k3...runs the demo without a hitch...
...and although I tried updating the drivers to render 3D in SuSE, it killed the graphic display. Now I'm stuck on command line and don't know how to get back, even after SAX'ing it. Still a Linux newbie...suckie for me
