Suggestions for 2014 WC Community Project

Tuesday, February 4, 2014 by Island Dog | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

The last community skin we did was the Holiday Community Suite back in 2009.  I wouldn't mind doing another winter holiday suite, but that's for later in the year.

https://forums.wincustomize.com/363398/

So lets start getting ideas for the next community suite.  Do we go for a season like Spring or Summer?  Another holiday?  A different type of theme?

Lets hear it and discuss it and get moving on the next one.

When everything is complete, could someone compile a new list of each skin with link and author?

Let me tell you, before this project I made skin and was hoping to have stars. Then I discov a community that is back of all skin,

even more  Island dog has always been present and provide support.

In short WinCustomize is more than a website, it's a big community working hand in hand.

Thank you all, and I give you for teamwork

It is so very nice to see that the community is able to and can come together like this.

Theme Manager was hit and miss working with Win 7 and I have not seen an update or anything to say it's compatible with Win 8/8.1.  This is the main reason I haven't pulled any Suites together since last April.

I have been downloading the different skins to see if they work on my Win 7 system.

Philly, does this mean you're not putting a suite together?

No list, no suite? Just asking, so we know.

RnD, no suite from me for the reasons I indicated and I am not working on a list since Sydney started one in reply #179.

Thanks, John. I appreciate your reasons. Theme Manager no longer works correctly anyway.

Oppss !

I noticed that you are using ObjectDock 1.9 (without icons reflections) but the 2 docks (mine and the one by WinMonster2) are  optimized for OD 2.0 and later so the icons are not well positioned on the docks

If you don't want to update OD please just open my Metall Tech Dock folder and edit the following lines in the .ini file

[Tile]
Image = Docktile.png
ResizeIconByPercent = 70;
OffsetIconByPercentX = 50;
OffsetIconByPercentY = 00;

for the Metall Tech Tray by WinMonster2 add all the previous 5 lines in the .ini file

and also copy and paste my Docktile.png (blank\transparent) in the same folder of the Metall Tech Tray

thanks a lot !

Like a skinning factory lately around here. Mass production at it's finest, great work and wow, so many skins RND, you rock.

All of you do.

NOTE

I will get all the links together with program skinned and the name of the person and post here. That way we can look and see if something is missing and decide where we are going from there.
