Does any one Use Beatnik or ICQ Plus anymore?

Tuesday, October 29, 2002 by elvee | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I mean with SysMetrix becoming a hit and WorkShelf and Desktopx are able to have clocks are there any true Beatnik fans out there?

Since switching to Trillian i have all but forgotten about ICQ Plus. How about you?

The importing WB skins into ICQ Plus is ok, but then you're stuck with those horrid default icons, and the titlebar buttons are sometimes whacky.

i´m only on IRC and use XChat for that. i prefer using the same software on both Linux and Windows. and transparent windows look so leet

never had a use for Beatnik though, both HoverDesk and LiteStep come with clocks. maybe when HoverDesk was young the clock plug-in wasn´t that flexible in looks, so people made matching skins for Beatnik.

Yup I use Beatnik. It can be animated and tells you when it is successful in getting the time sync. I use sysmetrix to but not for currenting time. Heck even if I had XP I would still use Beatnik cause I can skin it an animate it if I want. Plus a small cpu footptint.
