Hey everyone Windows 8.1 is out now you can download for free if you are running Windows 8, if you are running a later O.S you will have to wait till tomorrow and it will cost you 119.00 dollars so those of you running Windows 8 lucky dogs , for the rest of us MO MONEY!

You can bet that 9 will be more bloated
I can't see why any reasoning being would assume that. 7 is lighter on resources than Vista and 8 is lighter than 7. It thus follows that if anything 9 will be lighter than 8...

Jafo, I agree. I actually like 8 for that very reason. Non metro 8, of course. 8.1 is currently my default OS. All skinning done there. DX works fine.

If SteamOS takes off, you could very well see a splint in the OS community between Linux and Windows users.

I know it's off topic but has anyone seen RedNeckDude?
As for the topic I doubt Windows 9 will be any better than 8. You can bet that 9 will be more bloated, requiring people to upgrade computers.
