Skin Building Documentation
Sunday, August 18, 2013 by boofus | Discussion: WindowBlinds
Looking for SkinStudio reference, UIS+ and UIS 2 reference, scripting reference, etc
Anything that is newer than about 2002..... Which is about all I've found so far.
Seeking to learn about animating skins and also scripting; for example what's in a .animation file??
My purpose here is to learn about the advanced features of skinning, like animation, plugins, etc.
I'm not (nor ever will be) a skinner, but thought I'd try to update a few I really liked 10-15 years ago to work with the current WindowBlinds.

It doesn't appear that the wiki is up and running. I'm getting 404 errors from both the bottom of the page link and inside sks help links.

The WC Wiki is no more. Between a major spam attack and hardware issues, it will no longer be available.

I have used Vampothika tutorials to send to many people through the wiki link. They were a big help for new skinners. Wish I have a copy saved now so I could send it by mail if necessary to new people interested in Windowblind skinning. Oh well things change.

Is it me being picky or is it sort of "strange" that a product as mature as WindowBlinds wouldn't have a comprehensive reference manual available?? I mean, it's been almost 15 years, right??

I have the original files for this tutorial, I've emailed Kitty to see what she wants done with them.

This was designed for SkinStudio a couple of versions back, but the basics still apply.

And I have some ideas about alternative tutorial references. Just need to figure out which would be best.
I'll keep you updated. ![]()
