The letters in "Race car" are r-a-c-e-c-a-r.
Reverse the letters and,..... r-a-c-e-c-a-r.

A palindrome, by definition.

How did the person react to winning a million dollars, she asked. "!", she replied.

I think emoticons are going to take language full circle... back to petroglyphic notation!

GM, that would probably work for most everyday conversation, but how would one use emoticons to express a really complex idea, such as Einstein's General Relativity Theory?

Here is a link to both the General and Special Relativity theories. http://www.bartleby.com/173/ Read them over. (shouldn't take more than a day. ), then express them as emoticons.

Of course, I'm only kidding.

Brit: "Yank, where did you learn to mispronounce 'shedule' as 'skedule'?
Yank: "I think it was in grammar shool."

I read parts of them already.... you have a point there. Let me get back to you on the emotic ouline...(though the wc selection is limited)!

Once I even wondered if internet nicknames would start appearing as names... and suddenly the old scifi books seemed kind of prophetic. DEG... KREG USH

...not to be confused with "shule". Where my wife goes every Shabbat.

Now, getting back to the spirit of this thread;

Here is a little known fact that should finally settle the arguement....

According to Genesis 1:20-22, the chicken came before the egg.

Just to put my twopenneth in (showing I am English not an American) and the cat amongst the pigeons, Americans speak American English, not Queen's English. They are different "dialects" for lack of a better word, like Scouse and Geordie. (That'll fool the Yanks) (just a joke)

I speak a language loosely based on the "English" English. It's called Canadian, eh!

'In comparing British, American and Canadian writing, in 1972, Margaret Atwood noted the unifying themes at the heart of each national literature. The motif in England is seen as "the island" - after all, an Englishman's home is his castle. The dominant American symbol is "the Frontier," which "suggests a place that is new where the old order can be discarded." In Canada, the central symbol in both English- and French-Canadian literature is "Survival, la Survivance." The main idea is "hanging on"'

So the chicken did come first. I really thought so. How could the ege come before the chicken if the chicken had to lay the egg???

What we define as "Chicken" had to exist before it laid the egg. So that the egg could represent the chicken

so it was written.

Smashed marshmallows are more difficult to skewer with a stick.

It sounds like your camping diet is similar to mine. Marshmallows, coffee and canned beans.
