Sarah Palin happens to be a very fine upstanding citizen and PATRIOT. She effectively governed the largest state in the United States and sets a fine example of what a good and descent family life should be. She is an extremely intelligent woman and a strong leader.  If you want to judge her so harshly, you should at least do some research and study the facts before you start spouting hateful rhetoric !!        -- Ace --

I'm serious as hell , as well I should be in the defense of an inspirational Patriot here in these United States. I won't back down and I don't think your idea of "Fun" is something that I want to be associated with. In my motorcycle club we honor someone whom we consider "Righteous" a person of good character. That's how I try to live my life, with honor and dignity, an example for children to follow. You all are a disappointment to me regardless of the fact that you simply call it "Fun". There's no place in my life or anyone that I ride with for that kind of "Fun"  .... End of story.

What happens when you find 2 people who are "righteous" but they disagree and are diametrically opposed to each other?  I happen to think that everyone who has responded to this post are righteous people -- this community has stepped up and assisted me in my skinning goals, they have cheered me on, called me out when I was wrong, shaped me into a more flexible human being than I was when I came here some 7 years ago.  I consider that to be pretty damn righteous, and I would think anyone who would toss that aside for the political reputation of someone they have never personally met was being wasteful with their esteem.

Ace, I have to "resent" the fact that you are so shortsighted as to think that the bit of fun we had in this thread reflects badly on my character.

You need to back up and quit taking this shit so seriously. It is an internet website. Nothing is real, and there is nothing morally wrong with our fun.

I also respect what Sarah Palin did in Alaska. I also respect the soldiers who fight for our freedom. I respect the people that lay their lives on the line continuously as police and rescue teams, etc. My wife is a registered nurse (was ICU, now Cath Lab)...she saves lives. I respect her.

But joking around isn't disrespecting anyone. If you can't take a joke, you are on the wrong forum, hanging with the wrong people.

Certainly no-one 'should' be so seriously in support of Sarah Palin....other than her family [who have no choice] and Tina Fey who has a ready-made target for her wit and artistry.

There is simply too much documented 'issue' with Palin as any form of viable/potential President, so much so that it also questions her viability as a normal human being.
