New version skin browser crashing help pleeeeeeeeese

Hi there,
since installing the new version of the skin browser it crashes everytime i start to look at anything. I have windows ME. The older version worked fine. I have tried unistalling the older version and doing a new install of new one but to no avail. Anyone any ideas please

I know there are several threads regarding the new browser but none that fit my difficulty

Strange huh? My computer crashed yesterday, so I had to reinstall everything, guess what? the Skinbrowser just vanishes, poof. Just like that....it did not happen until I downloaded all the new versions. I have been saying this for a long time, everytime they come out with a new version, it is worse then the previous one....I will try some of the things that have been suggested here. I will check back..
