Registry Keys Shortcut
Can It Be Done?
Tuesday, September 4, 2012 by RedneckDude | Discussion: Personal Computing
I need to clear the recently opened skins list in SKS quite often.
I have to do it via regedit.
Is it possible to create a shortcut to a particular regisrty key?
Or maybe a gadget/widget to open it easily?

You should also be able to make a .reg file to do the change, then run it and one click to do the job.

Somebody should make a DX gadget that clears this reg key....I wonder who would be able to do that?

I think I figured it out. I neglected to add the - before the key. Seems to work now.
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\WindowBlinds\SKS6.ini\SkinHistory]

I like :
reg delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\somethign esle
It makes me feel better to know what's going on more easily.

I don't know about shortcuts, but you can add the key you are accessing to the favorites in the reg editor so you can just click on the favorites key in reg editor and jump to that key.
