Msgboard Chatroom Marathon
Sunday, January 27, 2002 by Elfkura | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.
New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P
Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

You'll have to stay away from chocolate which contains milk or animal fats... which is most of them... but there are plenty of places you can get vegan chocolate ( just not from me...

And to respond to your question, I recommend at least giving around 2-3months after the divorce to see what happens. You can still be there to talk, but you might want to watch how far you tread into the situation.

I didn't mean to stay away that long. I am starting to feel better. I didn't even know how sick I was feeling, but I had an infected tooth that got so bad it broke the bones in my mouth. I don't know why it didn't hurt more... else I would have sought help sooner. Anyway the stitches are all out, the antibiotics have worked their magic and I feel human again. Sometimes not feeling good comes on so gradually that you don't stop and realize something is wrong, I guess. I have been peeking in, but in a dismal mood.
I got a camera because I needed to get out more. I have been out learning to use it, and learning to use the software. http://skins3.wincustomize.com/GoodMorphing/wallpapers/26868.jpg
This is a picture of Honolulu from my rooftop. I am a little frustrated with it because I wish i had a bigger monitor to see it in its true size and because all the buildings seem to point different angles... I finally gave up on getting them straight and tried to find a horizon line between the buildings to level with. I have been uploading pictures to my personal gallery only, partly because I'm not ready to have stuff in the general library and partly because they aren't all that good, and partly because there are enough that they are prolly to the point of spamming. But since it is on my page only I reckon that is ok. It has been good therapy.
Elf, in my life i have learned that it is possible to formulate ideals and ideas that make a lot of sense when in the passions of youth. For me, as I have experienced different people, different cultures, different joys and tragedies I have learned to be more forgiving both of myself and other people. The only thing to be gained from being so rigid you cannot sway to life's dance is a life that is too constricted and lonely for my taste. Love is a treasure not to be squandered. Tend your feelings, follow your heart, and build your life around what you perceive to be real.

This is my page at Flickr, in case anyone wants to see. Like I said, I am just learning and doing this for other kinds of reasons so stuff that I put there is just stuff, nothing special. It has been a healing thing for me.
Hope everyone is well. TaTa.

Your photos are excellent. You are getting too good!
Here's my Flickr page http://www.flickr.com/photos/82431068@N00/ I haven't finished uploading yet, all my pics have to be downsized to make them managable. The scenery here is very different from Hawaii - wish we could swap for a few hours!
I'm pleased you are feeling a bit better. Not too bad here despite almost being a regular at the doctors & hospital the last couple of months. My left ventricle is only working at about 60% of normal plus the operation I had 3 years ago (Feb 21st - almost an anniversary!) left me with a hiatus hernia. That means in total I'm on 10 different tablets a day
I rattle when I walk...
I have a new printer, it arrived today. It's a HP 8450. I picked that one because I like to print B&W photos and the HP 8450 has black and a tri-grey cartridges just for B&W. I've not used it yet - none of my USB cables fit, grrrr
(((hugs)))

Thanks fuzzy. Uploading my photographs here was mostly an experiment. I noticed that people could upload to *their site only* and I thought that would make an ideal solution for people who don't want to deal with the rating/comment situation. I don't know why, but ever since I was a little girl I didn't like the feeling of being rated or graded. I always withdrew from as many of those situations as I could. And I have been upset to see people getting discouraged and leaving, or not uploading anything any more. I think it would be a very good WC benifit to have personal libraries that they could toggle *comments* and *ratings* on and off. It would be a way to reach out to another group of people, and maybe to retain others who are burned out, or simply burned and who might otherwise leave. We should try to get those people back, or keep them! Maybe this way would help.
I'm sorry to hear you are having health troubles. It is a pain to take medicine, I know. Luckily, I don't much.. except for a lot of pain pills now. I'm getting ready to go for more surgery on my foot, and I am doing all I can to avoid knee surgery later on. I did a lot of high impact sports before and I guess I am paying for it now.
Thanks for the link to your flickr page. I'll bookmark that now. I have a free account there, but maybe one day I will buy in. I don't have a printer, but I would like to make a print or two. Maybe I will go to kinko's.

I often think WC should have a photo section... but the rating system would put me off... and it would end up full of crappy snapshots like DA...
I'm trying to remove all my photos from DA, but it's a pain doing it one at a time. Their new submission policy has to be read to be believed.
Maybe we should have a Flickr thread?

ELF!
Good to see you around. You'll notice this place is a little quieter than it used to be. Everyone has moved on
