Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Sunday, January 27, 2002 by Elfkura | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

Well,

Two exams down, one more to go. I've done so much studyiing this past week I've decided I'm going to wing the next one on my memory...which isn't good....

For those of you who didn't have a busy week, I hoped all of you had a good Valentine. I was too busy to enjoy mine even though my boyfriend did give me a rose and a small box of chocolates as well as dinner with his best friend.

I hope next week would be a bit more easier on me. My tummy's been having problems half way through this stressful week.

Hope all of you the best though, and leave some chocolate for me! =D

I don't want to go to work!

I think Frogboy is like my 3 year old- he actually doesn't want to go to bed. Aren't you really always at work, anyway, Frogboy!

I'm glad that I'm past the school and dating stage of my life. It's not really less stressful when you get to the working and married stage, but it's a different type of stress that's easier to deal with. Of course, I'm one of the lucky ones that work at Stardock, so my work stress is fairly small (unless we run out of coffee....). My husband got me a card and a CD Changer for my car for Valentines day. He spent part of Saturday actually installing it. It's pretty cool! He's putting better speakers in my car, too.

Well, for a change, I'm not drinking coffee this morning....I'm drinking a coke....then I think I will make some Oolong tea.....Start Monday out differently!

Urgh, exam this morning.....and I'm so tired.

See, now if it was the "school and dating" stage and the "working and married" stage, I'd be set. Unfortunately, those are four independent stages, leaving me in the working and dating stage. And my work stress started at 7:50 this morning, though I don't technically start until 8:00. I wish I had something as simple as exams to deal with. Sigh.

But the large McDonald's coffee has kicked in, so all is well. (Is it just me, or is coffee the only REALLY good thing they make?)

Doreen is not too crazy about Mc'y D's but my two boys are, and when I buy them their Happy Meals, I usually have to nibble on a few of their French Fries, those are okay I guess, as for their coffee, Well I can tell you are not too picky... hehe

I would say that, if you compare their coffee to their food, the coffee wins. I don't like McDonalds, but my three year old loves the play structure. So, after I take her grocery shopping with me, I take her to McD's so that she can have a Happy meal (which she eats two bites of, but likes the toy) and can play on the play structure. I usually get a coffee. If it is fresh brewed (which it usually is when I go) it isn't too bad. Of course, i drink so much coffee, if I was picky, I'd be broke.

Did buy some Starbucks Breakfast Blend yesterday (on sale at the store), and it really isn't too bad. I have a love/hate relationship with their coffee. Most of them I love, but there are some of them that I hate (especially for the price). Tea is a little easier to buy. There are better brands than others, but there isn't usually *that* big of a difference.

Okay, I may be wrong, but I think I've just been compared with Doreen's and Java's children. I'm actually a bit of a gourmet, and a snob, and extremely picky (I', picky for a living, in fact). But I just can't stay away from the fast food.

But seriously, I do think their coffee is actually good. The only way I like Starbucks, though, is if they brew it. Normally, my cheap self sticks to WaWa coffee if I'm not making it myself.

And how did the coffee discussion move to this thread, anyway?

Glen: Do you like Wawa's Dark Roast? I'm torn over the Caramel coffee they have out now. It can be a tad too sweet but I also found that itdepends on which store you go and get it from.

Greetings, Doreen and feline

I don't like coffee, and usually stay away from anything that tastes a bit like coffee .

I do love tea though and it has been one of the prime liquids I drink. Caffeine and Elffie don't go very well together.

If you want, ask UHRBid somewhere on the msgboard.... he'll probably tell you what I do when I'm loaded on caffeine ..

and sugar =D

I compensate for my lack of sleep with caffeine and sugar.....I think it is the only thing that keeps me alive

I compensate for my lack of personality with caffeine. The jury's still out on whether or not it actually works

dendillon... missed your question yesterday, sorry! Too much to scroll through here (we need Msgboard Chatroom Marathon II: The Revenge )

Anyway, haven't tried WaWa's dark roast; I'm actually afraid I'd get even more addicted. I usually go with hazelnut or the caramel (which is good when it's fresh, but I'm discovering that's hard to find lately). I know next week's gonna be rough for me, so I may be succumbing to the dark side..er, roast, at that point.
