How to edit user site?
Friday, April 6, 2012 by Erik Holmer | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
Hello everybody, it's been literally ages since I was last here at wincustomize. I was looking at my good old user site and found some things I would like to change/remove. I have found no way to do this however. So, for example, how do I remove an item from "My links" at my wincustomize user site?

Well actually I did send an email to [email protected], twice... But no answer. I think I should be able to edit my own personal page as long as it's publicly viewable. Thanks for your answer though. Is there perhaps a moderator/admin here who can help me with this?

Erik, this being Easter weekend I think you will probably have to wait until Monday.

Erik, you could try editing things through joeuser.com, but it might fail. The personal sites have been sort of crippled for some time now.

At joeuser.com I was able to edit some of the content. But "My Links", for example, is still not possible to change. Surely there must be some way to edit this content, at least for an admin? I mean, given that the page still exists at some server.

Ok, so even though it's nice that there are some fellow scandinavians here my original question remains: How do I change my user site at wincustomize?

Your original question will require an official response from a Stardock employee. Unfortunately, it is a holiday weekend and a response will most likely have to wait until Monday at the earliest.

The functionality/setup of the Personal sites was open to abuse/misuse [and was] and the only real method to closing the 'door' was to disable them entirely.
You can in particular thank one individual whose 'demise' even failed to stop the problem continuing....![]()
It'd be 'nice' to see something done / in its place, but it won't be high on the agenda/to-do list ...![]()

So, does this mean that even an admin can't change what's on these pages?

I do believe that the users site has not been supported for a while. I know that new community members can no longer create one. You may want to send an email to support.
