Help with Object Bar

I don't have WinXP, but I seem to be able to create the XP Bar, however I am having a problem with the Menu. I get the bottom, right, left and top okay, but the menu comes up as the windows menu and can't seem to get the WinXP bottom, right, left and top menu to come up instead. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help.

starone - Have a merry Xmas. Mine has been rather grazy so far. It seems the only thing I want for Xmas is a mircale (daughter wise), but miracles can happen.

starone - Don't know how to break this to you, but got an email from Adam at Stardock. He said he read our thread and that the smartbuttons weren't finished yet and that version should be out in a couple of weeks. Hopefully that will solve the menu problem. I asked him to let you know (gently), because I didn't have the heart to tell you. You've worked so hard on this.
well, that explains my latest set of results at least.
starone - I'll miss this long thread too - we were making such progress.
i dont see why we should stop here. after all, we are making history
as i recall, there are still issues resolving around winamp plugin's graphics, and object bar components to investigate.
starone - He said he would be glad to get your and my suggestions in future releases of skin studio. (Don't think he knew what he was in for though.)

Hadn't heard from you in a while, so thought you had drowned in fruitcake batter. Glad you surfaced. Hope you had a merry Xmas. By the way, didn't want a miracle of another daughter, just one for the one I have (don't wish that on me)! Too many gray hairs with the one I have, couldn't handle another one.
Maybe we should have kept trying with the menu bit (maybe we could beat the two-week deadline). Anyway, at this rate, I'm sure you have learned enough to create a plugin. Think we could always use more to rack our brain over.

well, i got around to trying the obvious version of the newsgroup posting by Neil for smartbuttons in WB 3.10, but no joy
i should catch up with the newsgroups again this weekend, so i will keep an eye out for any further comments on this one.

Downloaded the update of Skin Studio. It now has smartbutton support. Boy, has Adam done some really neat things with Skin Studio. I'm in the process of adding them in and testing them out. Will be back with you on the results. Got the info in the uis but haven't finished adding the buttons yet. To be quite honest, I was so busy checking out everything that was new and adding stuff that I completely forgot about the buttons (guess I'm a hopeless case).

Well, got the buttons done. They show up in the preview, show up in Windowblinds config, I don't get any error messages in the analyze part, but the buttons aren't showing up on my windowblind. Still can't change the URL. Let Adam know and asked if they haven't finished implementing or if I'm doing something wrong. Alas, alas. Can't test it out if my buttons aren't showing up on the windowblind so I still don't know anymore than I did.

Well, feline, if your still around here's the update. All the smartbuttons work for me except the menu thing (again). Same story. Brings up the menu, but the items on the menu still launch me into Object Edit. Can't seem to figure that one out. Beats me.

i am still around, but i have been running on stress and suger for the last few weeks at work, doing stupid hours to boot
hopefully i will get to go home this weekend, at which point i will download the latest version's of skin studio, and start experimenting.
at least if we can consistantly get smartbuttons to once more appear on the skin with WB 3.1 then we can do something

Sorry about the busy schedule (I kinda figured it had something to do with the bars on the windows - guess I guessed right - it's to keep you working and not going home.)

i am not sure that i am going to be that useful this weekend
but then, the deadline is only 5pm today (its now 7-30pm), and the penalties are only supposed to be on the order of the whole company gets to go under.
good thing they are stretching it till monday.
anyway, who needs illegal drugs? i have swimming fishes on my title bars, a tendancy to fall off my chair when not holding onto the desk, and a migrane thinking of arriving.
although thinking about it the fish may be Alexandrie's doing - just dont ask me to swear to that
your smart button problems really do sound like light releaf

Wow, swimming fishes on your titlebar. Where did you get them? Gives me an idea for another theme. You ought to see the one I'm doing, (called fiberoptic - guess that will give you an idea - really different - dancing sides top bottom plus an added ani all the while changing to three different colors.) If you want to give your mind a rest from spinning you could just watch it and let it take you away. Just wanted to do a fun one.
