Quoting Uvah,

MSE...Threatfire...and MalwareBytes is all I use and I've never had a problem.
Ah, like a chastity belt for your PC...
... so nobody can f**k with you. hehe
Actually, more like a condom. If you're gonna screw around on the 'net, sooner or later you'll find yourself in a strange place. The last thing you want is to pass something nasty on to family and friends.

You may be right, Uvah. It was early and I haven't had my coffee yet.

A little tidbit on MalwareBytes -
If you customize your StartMenu at all, say add the LogOff item to it, MalwareBytes, in an overabundance of caution, considers that a Possible Unwanted Modification, will identify it as 'PUM.Hijack.StartMenu' & show it as an 'infection'. If you elect to 'clean' it, MWB will just reset the StartMenu options back to defaults.
In other words, it may be tough to identify what is a true positive among the 'PUM....' entries MWB 'finds'. I can reliably tell you that 'PUM.Hijack.StartMenu' is a false positive, though.

@Dc...Spy-Bot doesn't play nice with MWB. At least not on my system. Tried it.
@Daiwa.....Never encountered that one.

Spy-Bot was a little too overactive. Wanted to take all anti-malware stuff out. Too much of a pain to keep.
