Photoshop Touch Unveiled!

Monday, October 3, 2011 by Island Dog | Discussion: WinCustomize News

At the Adobe MAX conference today, Adobe unveiled Photoshop Touch for the iPad and Android tablets.

“Creative compositing meets multitouch fun in Adobe® Photoshop® Touch for Android tablets. Combine multiple images, edit specific elements, and apply filters and other effects—and get great guidance from interactive tutorials. Share your creations to Facebook and view comments right within the app. Sync your files with Adobe Creative Cloud so they're easy to open in Photoshop for further editing.”

This looks really interesting and I wonder how skinners could use this and export designs that could be used in skins somehow.

I would think that since HPs getting out of the tablet  business, webOS will die. Of course, I could be wrong, especially if Jeff Bezos picks it up and uses it in an Amazon based tablet.

HP is holding on to WebOS.

And Android will soon be ready for the Touchpad.  Android will scream on it!

According to this article LINK they'll have an introductory price of $10 each. At that price you'd be off your chump not to buy it if you have a tablet. It may not be as feature rich as the PC version, but as Doc has stated, it might be nice for doing stuff on the go. For example, having an idea for a blind, icon or whatever and doing a few concept sketches that can be imported and developed when you get to your rig at home.

Absolutely correct, Starcandy.

From your linked article:

"The programs, each to debut in November with a $10 introductory price, fall under the new Adobe Touch Apps brand. And they tie in with the new Adobe Creative Cloud, a service for sharing files, finding services, and transferring works from the tablet apps to Adobe's Creative Suite apps running on traditional computers.

Along with Photoshop Touch, the other apps are Collage, Debut, Ideas, Kuler, and Proto. Adobe earlier had dabbled with a touch interface to computer apps but more recently turned up the heat a bit with its Carousel app for photo editing and sharing." - Adobe

Well blow me away. I was thinking since Photoshop is way up there this would be no different. I stand corrected. Now...where's my piggy bank?

My only concern is that the $10 thing will be for the Android OS and not for iOS as they won't be releasing that (apparently) until early 2012.

Hope they do extend the same offer. I didn't see Adobe say it would (or wouldn't).
