On Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit here and IE9 runs perfectly. Also i have office 2010 and all the .NET updates and everything is working perfectly. Maybe i am just lucky, but i have never had a single problem with any windows updates.

Tell me about it. I only do updates about once a month, manually. I NEVER allow Windows do update automatically. That will @#*& up my system. Always choose your updates so you don't get a bunch of BS installed on your machine. I hated IE9, (which installed through Windows Update) so I reverted back to version 7 (and I don't even use IE anyways). I wish IE could be completely uninstalled.
Not only that, but Windows Updates takes FOREVER to shut down and start up, and you can't even DO anything until the updates are all finished. And updates fail often times. What a waste. vStyler's right about it sucking.
To Windows Update
Epic Fail.
Shame on you Bill Gates & Steve Ballmer. ![]()

Not updating software and drivers leaves your system with increased vulnerability to attack, wrigleys.
In the opinion of the experts (of which I am not one), keeping your stuff updated is the rule.
