Windows Upgrade Keys?
Saturday, July 9, 2011 by JuniorCrooks | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
Anyone have experience with purchasing upgrade keys online and are companies advertising keys for under 25 bucks legit?
I use this as an example. http://www.keyoem.com/

I fall back on the axiom "If it looks too good to be true..........."
Try and find some satisfied customers.
Keep in mind they may just want your credit card info.

Not sure about your question WebGizmos because I have no experience with that.
As far as being legit I don't know if its but its not the only site I have found offering upgrades for extremely reduced prices. I do not even mind paying substantially more but I am no different then most who like to get a deal.

The abuse I have to endure. The family name Crooks comes from Old English refering to someone who lived by a crook in the river (I Think) I say go soak your head in that river RND.
Just joking.

Definitely not a legit site. Just created on May 11, 2011 and is an Asian site. More than likely they are just running a SCAM site to get your credit and personal info. Microsoft would certainly not allow this. That site references another site called buysoftkey.com too, and it is a dead link. They also track your IP address on the site, at bottom left, and they hide their WHOIS registrar information.

Good info LS. Thanks a lot. I guess I will just bite the bullet and buy from MS if I want to upgrade.

The site has now been reported to Microsoft. If anyone spots stuff like this please email [email protected] , I am sure they would appreciate it.
Found out by looking at their site code that they are more than likely in China, a country that is notorious for things like this unfortunately.
